Xbox, Newest iPad: Morning Tech Bytes

Microsoft rose in premarket trading Friday as its Xbox was the best-selling console in November.

rose 0.15% in premarket trading Friday to $27.12 as the company's Xbox 360 was the best-selling console for the month with a 68% increase over last November, according to industry tracker NPD Group. Microsoft sold 1.37 million units during the month.

The Xbox 360 Kinect was the best-selling accessory item for November. Microsoft previously announced that 2.5 million Kinect hands-free sensors have been sold, and the company is on track to sell 5 million units by the end of the year.

Nintendo

reported Thursday that it had sold more than 2.7 million Wii and Nintendo systems during November. More than 1.2 milion Wii Systems were sold, and more than 1.5 million from the Nintendo DS family of systems.

Apple's

newest version of the iPad will come with cameras in the front and back, according to

. The model also will reportedly be lighter and slimmer.

Shares of Apple fell 0.8% in premarket trading to $319.50.

Google

rose 0.10% in premarket trading Friday to $592.12 as executive Andy Rubin said on Twitter that more than 300,000 Android phones are activated each day. The number is almost double the number of Android activations that Rubin claimed in June.
