High-End Nokia 8 to Launch Using Android in India
Nokia (NOK) - Get Report once ruled the smartphone arena. It was pushed out of the space by the likes of Apple (AAPL) - Get Report and Samsung. But now it's back with its next-generation Android phone.
The Nokia 8 smartphone hopes to be a strong competitor in an overly crowded global smartphone market. This high-performer debuts Sept. 26, in India.
Finnish partner HMD Global hopes consumers will like its new features, which include a dual-sight live streaming tool, spatial 360° audio and ZEISS optics.
"With performance and pure Android at its heart, as well as the most advanced aluminium unibody design to date, the Nokia 8 represents all the hallmarks of a true flagship Nokia smartphone," says the HMD site.
Shares of Nokia traded down at $6.07 on Thursday.
