Microsoft Up on Court Ruling

resumed trading up 4.5% at 2:50 p.m. EST. Shares were halted up 5.4% at 11:35 a.m. as a U.S. Appeals court reversed in part a ruling that the company violated anti-trust laws.
The case was sent back to a lower court and a different judge. Shares of Microsoft rivals
AOL
(AOL)
,
Red Hat
(RHAT)
and
VA Linux
(LNUX)
were all down after the unanimous decision.
However, media software company
RealNetworks
(RNWK) - Get Report
said the decision has "no direct bearing" on the RealNetwork's success.
AOL was down 0.6%, Red Hat was down 3.2%, VA Linux was down 21% and RealNetworks was down 4.1%.
