Microsoft (MSFT) - Get Report was down 0.1% in preopen Island trading, a day after an appeals court overturned the order to breakup the software giant.

CEO Bill Gates said in morning television interviews that he is "very open" to settling the case with the government.

was up 0.5%.

Interactive TV software maker

Liberate Technologies

(LBRT) - Get Report

was down 6.8% despite posting a fourth-quarter loss that was 1 cent per share narrower than the Street's forecast.
