Compaq Edges Higher on Restructuring
Compaq (CPQ) was up 0.6% in early trading after Reuters said it was planning a major restructuring amid a price war in the personal computer sector.

The company plans to base its "entire 64-bit family of servers" on Intel's Itanium microprocessor design by 2004. Intel was up 2.7%.
