Bang & Olufsen New H7 Headphones Are a Dream for Any Music Fan
Bang & Olufsen is known for its world-famous speakers, its expensive price tags and its dedication to quality products, and while the company's new H7 headphones keep up with that heritage there is a little bit of a difference that adds a nice touch.
Priced at $449, the new H7 over-the-ear headphones make full use of technology, including the ability to listen to music using Bluetooth or the cable that comes with the headphones. The ability to use Bluetooth here is a great choice, especially if you're going on a long trip and want the comfort and style of B&O without having to worry about the cable.
The inclusion of Bluetooth doesn't hurt the audio quality one bit. The headphones also come with a replaceable battery in case it runs out. You're able to get a significant usage time out of them. The company claimed 20 hours of playback, but in a review lasting a week I was able to get between 18 hours and 19 hours consistently, just slightly less than what Bang & Olufsen claims. Charging the headphones took around two and a half hours, right in line with what the company said.
As usual with Bang & Olufsen products, the sound quality is superior, though the products are a bit pricey. Weighing in at 10 ounces, the H7 headphones deliver sound with concert-hall clarity using the cable, showing range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz without any distortion.
With B&O's style and substance, the new H7 headphones come in metallic silver with a tan leather band that sits atop your ahead with the utmost comfort. Controls for volume and to accept phone calls are on the right ear.
For the cost-conscious consumer, the new B&O H7 headphones aren't up your alley. But if you're looking for something with a little style and panache, the headphones are worth the investment.
