Trump Threatens Retaliation Against France for Internet Giants Tax
U.S. president targets French wine in tweet complaining about digital-services tax.

President Donald Trump on Friday threatened to retaliate against France for imposing a retroactive tax likely to hit internet giants such as Facebook (FB) - Get Report , Alphabet (GOOGL) - Get Report and Amazon (AMZN) - Get Report .
The tax is due to be imposed retroactively to the beginning of the year on companies making more than $28 million in revenue in France from digital services.
Trump tweeted that if anybody taxes the internet giants, it should be the U.S. He said the U.S. will announce "a substantial reciprocal action," shortly.
Trump appeared ready to target French wine, saying in a tweet, "I've always said American wine is better than French wine!"
