The company said the new software misidentified a harmless file and posted a new replacement update to download.

Lane Bryant, which is owned by

, continues to make headlines as it battles with ABC and Fox over a lingerie ad that features plus-sized models.

Lane Bryant is saying that both networks refused to run the ad between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., what they consider "family time." Lane Bryant is arguing that ABC has run Victoria's Secret commercials during the same time slot. ABC issued a statement saying it never refused to run the ad -- leading to speculation that the entire thing is a publicity stunt on the part of Lane Bryant.

Hertz

(HTZ) - Get Report

said on Monday that it agreed to purchase rival

Dollar Thrifty Automotive

for about $1.17 billion in cash and stock.

The deal will give Hertz an additional 1,550 locations, bringing its total to 9,800. It will also raise its presence in its leisure rental business in Europe and other locations.
