Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning Highlight Most Expensive Tickets in Week 10
Week 10 of the 2015 NFL season is here, and three future Hall of Fame quarterbacks are set to play in the top-priced games of the week on the secondary market. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field while Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Tom Brady and the 8-0 New England Patriots continue their assault on the league in New Jersey when they battle the New York Giants Sunday.
The Packers have struggled in recent weeks, losing two in a row, and are now tied with the Minnesota Vikings atop the NFC North, but that hasn't stopped them from posting massive ticket prices against sub-par teams on the resale market. That will be the case this Sunday when they welcome the 1-7 Detroit Lions, who have failed to produce the same flair that claimed an NFC Wild Card berth last season.
According to SeatSmart.com the cheapest available Packers tickets to Sunday's game against the Lions are listed for $274 each. The beloved rivalry won't carry much meaning into Green Bay this weekend with the cellar-dwelling Lions just looking to save face, but the storied history between the two teams has perpetually driven high demand on the resale market for the annual meeting at Lambeau.
Perhaps the biggest story in the NFL this season has been the tour-de-force of the New England Patriots, who have torn apart the opposition through the season's first nine weeks. Their latest victim will be the New York Giants, who at 5-4 command the top spot in the NFC East. The Super Bowl XLII and XLVI rematch will be the second most expensive game this week, with Giants vs. Patriots tickets starting from $249 on SeatSmart.
While Peyton Manning has struggled to play up to his Pro Bowl-caliber self this season, the Broncos have rallied to pick him up and cruise to a 7-1 record. They'll host the Kansas City Chiefs at Sports Authority Field Sunday. Broncos tickets for Sunday's game start from $132. The 3-5 Chiefs will likely be overwhelmed by the Broncos, but that hasn't stopped the secondary market from eliciting big ticket prices for the divisional showdown.
