PayPal (PYPL) Stock Falls After Website Crashes on Cyber Monday

PayPal (PYPL) stock is down in midday trading on Monday after the company's website crashed on Cyber Monday.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- PayPal Holdings (PYPL) - Get Reportstock is declining 1.08% to $34.80 in midday trading on Monday after the payment technology company's website crashed early on Cyber Monday.

PayPal's website was temporarily down on Monday morning, CNBC.com reports.  

Target's (TGT) website also crashed on Monday due to high traffic, the retailer said. 

About 121 million holiday shoppers plan to shop online today, with many of them shopping on their smartphones, according to the National Retail Federation.
