NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration has approved the use of small drones to take pictures and videos, Fox Business Network's Maria Bartiromo reported on "Mornings with Maria Bartiromo" Thursday.

The use of these drones is huge for the real estate industry.

The FAA's regulations on the use of drones for real estate are very flexible and allow each state to come up with their own unique set of rules, particularly regarding privacy, Fox Business Network's Jeff Flock added.

People shouldn't be worried about their privacy as drones are extremely loud, CAVU Videos CEO Daniel Isaacson told Fox Business Network.

"It was far-reaching and ground breaking for everyone involved and allows us to take their frame work and bring it back," Isaacson said.

The use of drones gives the real estate agent the ability to show the buyer not only the surrounding neighborhood but also to see the house from a different perspective, the aerial view, and show the different features and finishes, Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing Miami" realtor Samantha DeBianchi told Fox Business Network.

"Real estate is in a different era right now. Buyers are a lot more educated, they can go online and be a lot more informed and sellers have a lot more tools available to them," DeBianchi said.

Although useful, quality drones can cost up to $1,400 and that is not including the cost of hiring a professional to film and edit, the cost of props, models, and background music, she added.

"I'm not just a realtor anymore, I'm a marketing queen, a PR person and apparently a performer as I'm editing these things and working with my videographer to make sure that what I'm putting out there to advertise and market the property is perfect," DeBianchi said.
