U.S. Dollar Fights Back
The greenback climbs against the yen and the euro.
The dollar was showing some fight against most of its major competitors Wednesday and putting at least a temporary halt to its recent skid.
Euros fell to $1.4118 from $1.4143 in the previous session, and the yen dropped to 115.62 from 114.52 Tuesday.
Britain's pound declined to $2.0150 from $2.0178 a day ago, and the Canadian dollar eased to C$1.0048 from C$1.0012.
The dollar also rose against the Swiss franc, but the Australian dollar edged up. Thus far this year, the Aussie dollar has risen nearly 11% vs. the greenback.
