Crude Futures Bolt Upward
Reformulated gasoline gains 7 cents to $2.09 a gallon.
Crude prices surged more than $2 a barrel Thursday, settling at $82.88 in New York trading.
Reformulated gasoline gained 7 cents to $2.09 a gallon. Heating oil was up 7 cents at $2.25 a gallon. Natural gas sat out the rally, slipping almost 13 cents to $6.92 per million British thermal units.
Earlier, the Energy Information Administration said the nation's natural gas inventories rose by 74 billion cubic feet last week, a number that was right in line with estimates. That took stores to 3.21 trillion cubic feet.
