Now for Only $300 You Can Rent a $500,000 Classic Car Thanks to One Company
Classic car insurance company Hagerty is launching a rental program called DriveShare that redesigned the traditional concept of car rentals with on-demand service to vintage models, Motor Authority reported.
DriveShare brings the "sharing economy into the car lover's garage," Hagerty said. The service offers a large variety of classic models that customers can rent directly from individual owners. Starting rates run about $300 per day and rentals come with $1 million in insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance.
But dealing with vintage beauties like '64 Aston Martins and '69 Chargers requires a little more care than dialing up an Uber or calling Hertz (HTZ) - Get Report . DriveShare renters must be at least 30 years old, put down a $500 deposit and fill out an application.
