Netflix Nabs Streaming Deal
Netflix is growing its streaming content through a deal with FilmDistrict.

announced on Wednesday that it secured a deal with
FilmDistrict
to stream first-run films soon after they are released on DVD.
Under the terms of the deal Netflix will receive films from the production and financing company a "few months" after their release starting in 2011. Movies that are currently licensed to premium cable channels will go from FilmDistrict to Netflix instead.
Drive
and
Lockout
are among the first films slated for the program.
