Jim Cramer Gets Insight on NCAA Tournament Bracketology From ESPN

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Jim Cramer recently sat down with Peter Keating, senior writer for ESPN The Magazine. Keating said ESPN's bracket analyzer has found that undefeated Kentucky is the strongest team by the numbers.

Keating also predicted that one-seed Villanova will be a very strong giant this NCAA tournament. He explained that the key to being a strong offensive giant is offensive rebounding, piling up possessions and keeping opponents from stealing the ball and getting turnovers.

Keating told fans to go with highly-seeded NCAA favorites until those teams play underdogs with a chance to beat them. One big upset could come during the Sweet 16, he said, if the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats face the West Virginia Mountaineers.

To those filling out brackets, Keating has this advice: do not go trendy with your picks. Keating said a team like Buffalo has become very trendy because fans are happy to have head coach Bobby Hurley back in the tournament, but they're not as good as some people think.

Jim Cramer and other Wall Street pros are posting their brackets on ESPN. As part of March Madness, TheStreet (TST) - Get Report is holding an open house this weekend, giving readers access -- at no charge -- to its publications, including Action Alerts PLUS, Jim Cramer's multi-million dollar charitable trust portfolio.
