NBA's Kevin Durant: 'Nobody Wants to Play in Under Armours'
The Finals MVP said kids prefer to play in Nike shoes.
Shares of Under Armour (UA) - Get Report were sinking over 3.4% in Tuesday morning trading after one of the National Basketball Association's premier players had some harsh words for the athletic retailer.
"Shoe companies have a real, real big influence on where these kids go," Durant told Bill Simmons' "The Ringer" podcast released Monday. "Nobody wants to play in Under Armours, I'm sorry. The top kids don't because they all play Nike (NKE) - Get Report ."
"Everybody knows that [nobody wants to play in Under Armour shoes]. They just don't want to say nothing," the NBA Finals MVP added.
Durant's comments are the latest blow to a company whose shares have plummeted over 43% year-to-date.
