iPhone Wireless Charging Feature Drained the Life From This Company
Energous was down double digits Tuesday.
Wireless charging company Energous Corp. (WATT) - Get Report shares were down 11.2% to $10.87 in afternoon trading Tuesday after Apple Inc. (AAPL) - Get Report unveiled the wireless charging feature for its highly anticipated iPhone X.
Apple said that it is using the Qi wireless charging standard, which is also used by rival Samsung (SSNLF) . The company will begin shipping the wireless charging mat next year.
The iPhone X will be available in 64 GB and 256 GB with a starting price of $999. The phone will begin shipping November 3.
Apple shares were down 0.7% to $160.40 Tuesday afternoon.
