Terms weren't disclosed. The news comes as H-P seeks to move past the turmoil accompanying the recent departure of CEO Carly Fiorina.

Snapfish offers free online photo sharing, photo storage and management, free editing tools and software, online print ordering, and wireless imaging services for camera phone and color handset users.

H-P said Snapfish brings an "expertise in online photo services" that "will rapidly enhance HP's ability to capitalize on the growing market for online photo printing."
