Facebook Bringing $750 Million Data Center to Ohio
The social media firm is expected to announce the new project sometime next week.
Facebook (FB) - Get Report has plans to develop a $750 million data center in New Albany, Ohio, near Columbus, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
The social media firm is expected to announce the new project sometime next week, the report said. The data center is slated to open in 2020.
The report follows an earlier Facebook announcement saying that it would construct a data center the size of 17 football fields in New Mexico. Facebook began construction on that facility in October and it's expected to be completed in 2018.
