affirmed its second-quarter earnings forecast, which falls in line with analysts' expectations.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company said it expects to earn 33 cents a share, up from last year's 31 cents a share. Analysts polled by First Call also expect 33 cents a share, on average.
Last month, Dial
made an earnings prediction that fell a penny short of analysts' predictions at the time of 34 cents a share. Since that time, analysts have lowered their forecast.
Shares of the soapmaker closed at $19.85 on Thursday.
