How to Make Money on Booming Cloud Services Demand

The cloud remains a hot space in tech as companies look for ways to improve their capabilities. Here's one way to invest in the space.

For investors looking to play the cloud, look no further than Salesforce (CRM) - Get Report , according to TheStreet's founder and Action Alerts PLUS portfolio manager Jim Cramer. Salesforce shares are up 40% since the start of the year.

"Oracle (ORCL) - Get Report did not have a blowout quarter for the cloud," Cramer said.

Salesforce.com Inc. has made fresh highs since posting its July quarter report on August 22nd. Salesforce's sales, EPS and billings all beat estimates and the company's quarterly and full-year sales guidance were both solid. But disappointment over the company's subdued October quarter deferred revenue growth -- growth is expected to be stronger in the January quarter -- and lack of full-year margin and cash flow guidance hikes briefly weighed on shares.
