American Upbeat on Fourth Quarter

said fourth quarter unit revenue is trending slightly better than it had expected.
Speaking at the Hudson Securities airline conference, American CFO Bella Goren said passenger revenue per available seat mile will be up about 7% in the fourth quarter.

"Advance bookings through the remainder of the year look strong," said Goren.
Although
JetBlue
(JBLU) - Get Report
cut its unit revenue estimates Wednesday, Goren said American does "not share" JetBlue's outlook. "We feel good looking forward to advance bookings," she said.
JetBlue said its fourth quarter PRASM will gain 10% to 12%, down from its previous guidance of a 12% to 15% gain. JetBlue also said total RASM, including fees, will gain 8% to 10%, compared with previous guidance of 10% to 13%.
