AIG Appoints Six Senior Executives

AIG has announced the appointment of six senior executives.

NEW YORK (

) -- AIG has announced the appointment of six senior executives as it aims to reemerge afresh from its recent history of horror.

Thomas Russo was named AIG executive vice president of legal, compliance, regulatory affairs and government affairs and general counsel. Russo joins AIG from the New York office of Patton Boggs LLP, where he served as senior counsel. Russo worked for the SEC from 1969 to 1971 as an attorney in its division of trading and markets. He will report to AIG's chief executive Robert Benmosche.

Paulette Mullings Bradnock was named AIG senior vice president and director of internal audit, reporting to Benmosche and Christopher Lynch, an AIG board member and chairman of the audit Committee. Prior to joining AIG in 2005, Mullings Bradnock worked for 21 years at

Jeffrey Hurd was named AIG senior vice president of human resources and communications, reporting to Benmosche. Hurd previously held numerous senior positions within AIG, most recently as AIG's chief administrative officer.

Sandra Kapell was named AIG vice president and global head of talent strategy and performance systems, reporting to Hurd. In this new position, Kapell will oversee talent management, development and training, including recruiting, succession planning and performance management. Christina Pretto was named AIG senior vice president of communications, reporting to Hurd. Pretto joined AIG in 2009 as AIG vice president of corporate media relations, from
