Black Friday is one of the largest shopping days of the year in the United States, but it's also a major shopping day overseas, even though Thanksgiving is a U.S. holiday. According to global e-commerce company Borderfree (BRDR), 2013 cross-border spending was 330% higher on Black Friday than the average shopping day during the year. Plus, U.S. retailers are marketing to international customers, contributing to the rise in sales, as global shoppers seek doorbuster discounts.
