AT&T has reportedly moved one step closer to acquiring DirectTV, just as DirectTV itself draws closer to the key reason the telecommunications company is buying it. AT&T reportedly agreed to specific conditions with the U.S. Department of Justice, which would pave the way for the acquisition to be approved by the Federal Communications Commission. And DirectTV is reportedly in talks to extend its highly-lucrative NFL Sunday Ticket deal into the next decade, something crucial in terms of AT&T's purchase price. Today's Chart of the Day could look very, very different by the beginning of next year's NFL season.
