T-Mobile and Sprint are still finalizing details of a proposed merger, but T-Mobile CEO John Legere has already been selected as the CEO of the combined company. According to reports, Legere, CEO since September 2012, will likely be chosen over CEO of Sprint Dan Hesse. Legere has marked his tenure as a bold and unconventional businessman. Most recently, he spearheaded T-Mobile's push to uncouple from the other telecoms, emphasizing affordability and flexibility to its plans. That "un-carrier" strategy helped it become the fastest-growing wireless company in the U.S. An official announcement of merger terms could come as early as July.
