Tyson Foods announced Thursday it wants to buy Hillshire Brands for $50 per share, or $5 more than Pilgrim's Pride offered earlier this week. Hillshire, which makes Ball Park franks and Jimmy Dean sausages, is trying to buy Birds Eye frozen vegetables maker Pinnacle Foods for $4.6 billion. Meanwhile, Google co-founder Sergey Brin revealed Tuesday his plan to build a fleet of electric-powered, self-driving cars. The bubble shaped vehicles will have no steering wheels and max-out at 25mph. Finally, Apple announced on Wednesday what everybody already knew, that it is buying headphone maker and music streamer Beats Electronics.
