FORMER WALL STREET JOURNAL EDITOR
MIKE ANDERSON JOINS THESTREET.COM
NEW YORK, January 2, 2002 - TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:TSCM), a leading multimedia provider of financial commentary, analysis and news, announced today that Mike Anderson has joined the Company as co-executive editor. Most recently, Anderson served as money and investing editor at The Wall Street Journal Online. Joining Anderson as co-executive editor is Tim Johnson, who has been with TheStreet.com for more than two years, most recently as managing editor.
"Mike has distinguished himself as an editor and writer of the highest caliber, after more than six years at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal," said David Morrow, Editor-in-Chief of TheStreet.com. Anderson will be responsible for the daily operation of the newsroom, TheStreet.com and RealMoney.com web sites, as well as overseeing the Company's new product offerings.
Anderson has served as an editor at Dow Jones since 1995. He also served as a television commentator for NBC and CNBC, where he co-produced and reported on topics focusing on investing and personal finance. Prior to that, he was a business editor at the San Diego Union-Tribune, where he directed the daily sections covering local, national and international business news. In addition, Anderson served as editor at the San Diego Business Journal.
Anderson graduated with honors from the University of Oregon, Eugene.
