Over 161 Financial Media Use World Investor Link
to Provide Service to Investors
Richmond, Va. - World Investor Link Inc. announced today an agreement with TheStreet.com Inc. (TSCM: Nasdaq) to provide users of TheStreet.com with free, direct access to publicly traded companies' reports and mutual funds' prospectuses offered through the Annual Reports Service and the Fund Info Service.
Identified by the "club" symbol, the Annual Reports Service and Fund Info Service, offer potential investors the annual reports and mutual fund prospectuses for more than 4,000 U.S., Canadian and European companies and 1625 mutual funds. Visitors to the TheStreet.com web sites can instantly download these materials or a hardcopy can be mailed within 24 hours, courtesy of World Investor Link and its partners.
"Adding the Annual Reports Service and the Fund Info Service to TheStreet.com sites supports our goal of providing our audience with insightful and timely investment content because it offers excellent insight to the strategy, resources and performance of publicly-traded companies," said James Lonergan, Chief Operating Officer of TheStreet.com
In 2000, the Public Relations Society of America Foundation's National Credibility Index reported the importance of the annual report in investing: 91 percent of investors regard the reports as the most credible source of information. The rating came in well above the 20 percent grade earned by chat rooms, although the Internet ranked high in terms of where investors go first for investment leads.
"We are pleased with our agreement with TheStreet.com because it gives serious, self-directed investors access to the Annual Reports Service and the Fund Info Service, said J. Patrick Galleher, chief operating officer of World Investor Link. Companies and Funds participate in our services because they want to be proactive about communicating with this investor audience. Through partners like TheStreet.com, we provide companies visibility with investors when they are making investment decisions and provide investors the ability to make better informed investment decisions."
