Cyberian Outpost CEO Resigns to Take Major League Baseball Job

Internet retailer Cyberian Outpost(COOL Quote) said President and Chief Executive Robert Bowman resigned to join Major League Baseball's new media and Internet operations and will be succeeded by Chief Financial Officer Katherine Vick.

Vick joined the Kent, Conn., company in 1997. Initially, she will be named president of the company. Bowman will remain on the company's board.

In addition, the company, which also goes by the name Outpost.com, said it is on track to meet Wall Street's estimates for the third quarter ending Nov. 30. Analysts expect the company to report a loss of 20 cents a share for the quarter, according to First Call/Thomson Financial.

Shares of Cyberian Outpost were recently trading down 44 cents, or 21.2%, to $1.63 in morning Nasdaq trading.
