Unscientific studies have proven the No. 1 thing people want from financial journalism is ideas about what to buy NOW. Being that I'm a big fan of The Kinks, I proudly present the following:

Barry Hyman, senior market analyst at Ehrenkrantz King Nussbaum, believes market gauges are range-bound and is admittedly "not very aggressive" these days. But he's maintaining holdings in large-cap tech stocks, such as Dell (DELL Quote), and does not adhere to the bearish case being made by some.
