Nasdaq Closes Slightly Higher, but Dow Finishes Lower

TheNasdaq 
ended Friday in positive territory, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down but still off its earlier lows.
The Dow lost 38.9 points, or 0.37%, to 10,416.7. The Nasdaq finished up 6.86 points, or 0.34%, to 2029.8, and the S&P 500 was higher by 3 points, or 0.25%, to 1205.9.
JDS Uniphase (JDSU Quote) closed lower after posting a steep fourth-quarter loss and setting plans to cut its workforce by nearly two-thirds. JDS lost 91 cents, or 10%, to $8.55. ...
