Market Update: Dow Posts Solid Gain, Nasdaq Also Ends in the Green

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average djia chalked up a solid triple-digit gain today, making up for last week's poor finish that left the blue-chip index near where it started the year.

    The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index nasdaq didn't faring quite as well; but still ended higher.
