Comcast, NBCU Venture Picks Chief: Report

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Comcast(CMCSA) and General Electric (GE) have agreed to put NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker in charge of their proposed joint venture, a report says.

Under a deal being discussed, Comcast's cable networks would be merged with NBC Universal's TV networks, movie studio and local TV stations. The deal took a step closer to completion earlier this week as GE and Comcast reportedly agreed to value NBC Universal at around $30 billion.

Reuters, citing sources, reports Zucker will lead the new venture, with no clauses for him to leave after a specific period. ...
