Wyeth Sets Meeting For Shareholders' Merger Vote

MORRISTOWN, New Jersey (AP) — Wyeth has scheduled a meeting for the drugmaker's shareholders to vote whether to approve its pending acquisition by drug giant Pfizer.

The annual stockholders meeting will be held on July 20, at a hotel in Morristown, New Jersey, where Wyeth is based. Wyeth delayed its annual meeting from April because of the acquisition.

The $68 billion deal, one of three pharmaceutical industry megamergers this year, is expected to close late in the third quarter or in the fourth quarter. ...
