Eagles Owe Philly $3 Million To End Revenue Battle

 

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A judge says the Philadelphia Eagles owe the city $3 million to finally resolve a long-standing stadium revenue dispute that sparked dueling lawsuits.

Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Albert Shepherd ruled Wednesday the city owes the team $5 million for a 2001 preseason game with the Baltimore Ravens that had to be canceled because of problems with the turf in Veterans Stadium, the team's previous home.

That amount can be deducted from last week's ruling, when Shepherd decided the Eagles owe the city $8 million in luxury box revenue dating back to the 2000 and 2001 seasons. ...
