General Dynamics Unit Gets $119M Army Deal

NEWTON, N.C. (AP) — A General Dynamics Corp. unit received a $119 million contract boost to provide more satellite communications terminals for an Army program, the company said Friday.
Under the deal, the Falls Church, Va.-based defense contractor will provide the Army with 293 transportable satellite terminals, six trucks and 534 Ka-band upgrade kits and spares for the Army's Warfighter Information Network-Tactical program.
Gary Kanipe, General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies vice president and general manager, said the terminals and trucks will provide "reliable video, voice and data communications that meet the Army's expanding requirements." ...
