Humana Spent $370K Lobbying Government In 1Q

WASHINGTON (AP) — Health insurer Humana Inc. spent $370,000 lobbying in the first quarter on prescription drugs and other matters, according to a recent disclosure form.

The Louisville, Ky.-based managed care company lobbied on legislation dealing with Medicare prescription drugs, children's health insurance, drug safety and more.

Besides Congress, Humana lobbied the White House and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the January-March period, according to a lobbying report filed April 20 with the House clerk's office....
