Western Union CEO's 2008 Compensation Rises 31 Pct

NEW YORK (AP) — Western Union Co. chief executive Christina Gold received a $2.2 million compensation package in 2008, up 31 percent from the previous year, according to an Associated Press analysis of figures reported Monday in a regulatory filing.
Gold, who has served as president and CEO since September 2006, had received a compensation package valued at $1.7 million in 2007.
The rise in the latest compensation package jumped mainly due to a 71 percent increase in her performance-related bonus to $1.1 million from $647,500 in 2007. ...
