In line with an early surge in the broader market, grocery stocks were primarily on the plus side Wednesday.

Costco(COST Quote) was rising 0.9% to $41.07 despite having posted a second-quarter profit that fell 27% from the same period a year earlier.

BJ's Wholesale Club(BJ Quote), meanwhile, reported a 5% increase in profit for its fiscal fourth quarter. Shares subsequently rose 8.8% to $29.85. ...
