On Tuesday, the financial stimulus plan passed by congress underwhelmed Wall Street, while the woes of the big three automakers -- GM (GM Quote), Ford (F Quote) and Chrysler -- made queasy investors seasick, sending the Dow down 297.81 points to 7,552.60 (less than one point away from Nov. 20's low close of 7,552.29).
