Cramer's 'Stop Trading!': Viva Verizon

"We need to get the banking system out from under. I think it's happening," said Jim Cramer on Monday's "Stop Trading!" segment on CNBC.
He said he didn't find fault with the announcement that the Treasury is going to invest in City National Bank(CYN Quote). CEO Russell Goldsmith is "a very straight shooter," Cramer said. "He's just a really good CEO, and he's willing to tell it like it is."
Today Cramer looked to Verizon(VZ Quote) and the pharmaceutical industry for opportunity. "When you get a yield that is 6.5% to 7%," he said, "Verizon suddenly becomes a bond with upside." The same goes for Pfizer(PFE Quote), he said. "I think Pfizer is becoming a great bond."
He said Verizon had a "monster good quarter," and Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg "is money. He is money." ...
