Ambassadors Group(EPAX Quote) was among the Nasdaq's winners Tuesday, jumping 6.6% after the provider of education travel services posted second-quarter earnings that topped Wall Street's forecast.
The company earned $20.9 million, or $1.05 a share, on net revenue of $42.9 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected earnings of 99 cents a share. During the year-earlier quarter, the company earned $18.5 million, or 86 cents a share, on net revenue of $35.2 million. Shares closed up $2.23 to $36.25.
Harte-Hanks(HHS Quote) slumped 9% after the direct-marketing company posted second-quarter results that disappointed investors. The company earned $22.9 million, or 31 cents a share, on revenue of $290.1 million. Analysts expected earnings of 33 cents a share on revenue of $296.8 million.
