Mannatech (MTEX Quote) rose 5% after the nutritional supplement company said it expected strong fourth-quarter sales.
The Coppell, Texas, direct sales outfit said it expects sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 to rise 20% from a year ago to $101 million. The company said annual sales should rise 32% to $389 million.
"We expect to report that our consolidated net sales for the fourth quarter of 2005 will again exceed $100 million for the third consecutive quarter," said CEO Sam Caster. "The anticipated strong results reflect the continued product focus of Mannatech combined with the solid support of our committed associate base."
