Dow Stumbles but the Comp Keeps Its Feet
Into every rally a little rain must fall, and a steady drizzle today cooled off that previously red-hot index, the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
The Dow fell 1.5%, owing to weakness in consumer-sensitive names such as Home Depot (HD Quote) and Procter & Gamble (PG Quote), as well as defensive plays 3M (MMM Quote) and United Technologies (UTX Quote).
