The Feb. 14 Herb on TheStreet column, Investing in the Customer Is Rarely Right, incorrectly stated that Integrated Circuit (ICST:Nasdaq) made a $4 million investment in Maxtek several years ago. In fact, Integrated Circuit made that investment in fiscal 2001. (corrected Feb. 21)
The Feb. 13 market story, Gazing Beyond H-P's Earnings Report, incorrectly reported the date Hewlett-Packard (HWP:NYSE) announced its planned acquisition of Compaq (CPQ:NYSE). That date was Sept. 3, not July 25. (corrected Feb. 21)
A Feb. 11 story, McDermott Gets Lifeline in Asbestos Verdict, incorrectly reported Kirkland & Ellis is acting as defense for McDermott International (MDR:NYSE). In fact, Kirkland & Ellis are the lawyers for McDermott subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox. (corrected Feb. 21)...
