MGM Grand (MGG Quote - Cramer on MGG - Stock Picks) has agreed to buy Mirage Resorts (MIR Quote - Cramer on MIR - Stock Picks) for $21 a share in cash, or $4.4 billion. MGM Grand previously offered to buy Mirage for $17 a share. MGM Grand will also assume Mirage's outstanding debt of about $2 billion. The companies expect the deal to be completed during the fourth quarter. MGM Grand expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings per share immediately and increasingly so in subsequent years.
