The Microsoft Decision: TSC's Coverage

The wide-ranging, year-long antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft (MSFT Quote) reached one of what will surely be many dramatic moments today, with U.S. District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's issuance of his opinion, released at 6:30 p.m. EST.

Jackson's finding of fact represents the first step toward a final judgment in the case, which could come by year-end, according to legal experts. After that, they say, it will wind through appeals courts until 2002.
