The Microsoft Decision: TSC's Coverage

 

The wide-ranging, year-long antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft (MSFT) reached one of what will surely be many dramatic moments today, with U.S. District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's issuance of his opinion, released at 6:30 p.m. EST.

Jackson's finding of fact represents the first step toward a final judgment in the case, which could come by year-end, according to legal experts. After that, they say, it will wind through appeals courts until 2002.
